Are you hiring?

We are currently recruiting for the following team members:

  • Finance Manager (Quickbooks etc), US-based, part-time

  • Grant Writer, remote but with a deep knowledge of applying for grants within the United States (non-government)

If you believe you might be a good fit for one of these positions, please send an up-to-date resume to liz@iraqichildren.org.

Can I volunteer with Iraqi Children Foundation?

We sometimes take on volunteers to help with specific projects at ICF. We are currently looking for volunteers with social media and communications experience, and grant writing experience. The most effective way you can volunteer is through fundraising for ICF. There are many ways to start your own fundraiser, through in-person events, or online platforms like Global Giving or Facebook. If you want to discuss ideas for your own fundraiser, or would like us to send you materials to distribute, please send us an email.

At the moment, we do not accept volunteers to assist with projects on the ground in Iraq.

Can I send gifts / clothes / other items to the children in Iraq?

We do not accept goods to be shipped at this time. It is very expensive to ship items to Iraq, and there are lengthy wait times and fees for items to clear customs. It is much more cost effective to send donations so that items can be purchased inside Iraq, and distributed to the children. This also helps support the local Iraqi economy.

Can I adopt a child from Iraq?

At this time, Iraqi children cannot be formally and legally adopted outside of Iraq by non-family members.
